Have you been turned away by apartments saying they are large dog friendly? No need to stress because I can help you find German Shepherd friendly apartments.
Believe it or not there are more apartments accepting German Shepherds than many other ‘aggressive’ breed dogs. Rents are a little higher for apartments who accept German Shepherds starting at about $925 for 1 bedroom apartments and $1200 for 2 bedroom apartments, but they are available.
The areas that I commonly see the most apartments who will accept a German Shepherd are in Dallas, Plano, McKinney, Richardson, Las Colinas, Frisco, and Lewisville. In Ft. Worth there are a few apartments willing to accept a German Shepherd, those will start around $1000 and go up from there and are located in the North and Downtown areas.
Some of my favorite apartments have pet wash stations, dog parks, and are pet owner focused. They even have special photo contests, community events, and more surrounding your four legged friends.
Pet fees and deposits average around $500. Some lower, some higher. There are even a few places that don’t charge pet rent, but those are rare.
