Dallas No Breed Restriction Apartments

McKinney No Breed Restriction Apartments

Looking for Dallas No Breed Restriction Apartments?

Renting an apartment in Dallas when you have pets can at times be difficult when your beloved four legged friend is on a management company’s restricted list.  And it seems that more and more communities are restricting pet breeds as they install elaborate pet parks and expensive landscaping.

The reasons for restricting breeds range from resident and pet safety to increased property insurance costs.  But whatever the reason a manager might have for denying your pets residency, we know that you love your pet and would never part with them.  Your pet is a member of your family and we would never want you to part with them.

Where Do You Live In Dallas With An Aggressive Breed

The obvious question is, which apartments accept aggressive breeds and what are the requirements?

Well that’s where DFW Apartment Nerdz can help.  There are about 90 apartment communities in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex that accept all dog breeds.  The good news is we know apartments without breed restrictions.  The best part is not all of them are ultra high end and some have apartments with yards.

Now I’m sure a few questions come to mind.  Where are they, how much are the fees, what are the rents, and what can I expect?  So allow me to answer those for you.

Believe it or not there are apartments throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex that don’t have breed restrictions.  Uptown Dallas, Las Colinas, Lake Highlands, Far North Dallas, Plano, McKinney, the Mid-Cities, and Ft. Worth.  Rents range anywhere from $900-$1750 depending on the location for 1 bedroom and $1100-$2150 for 2 bedroom apartments.

Monthly apartment pet rent can range from $15 to $25 for 1 pet and $25 – $50 for 2 pets.  And then there is the deposit.  Gasp!  As a rule of thumb I would suggest allowing for $400-$600 for the deposit, and while a portion of it may be classified as refundable, well, I wouldn’t bank on it unless the flooring is squeaky clean.  It’s just the way it is.

If an apartment offers you a surety bond instead of a pet deposit, do it.  It will save you money in the long run should any damage occur to the carpets etc.

What Should You Expect With Your No Breed Restriction Apartment?

You should bring your pet’s vet records with you and might even plan for a pet interview.  A pet interview is a super quick meet and greet with the staff to ensure that  your pet shows no aggressive tendencies.

Most Dallas apartments that accept all breeds offer pet parks, pet waste stations, and pet wash stations.  We have several no breed restriction apartments on our website.
