Relaxing Richardson Texas

Laid Back Yet Still Interesting

Live Life in Richardson, Texas

Richardson has come alive with excitement thanks to the CityLine urban development.  While parts of CityLine are still under construction, State Farm has moved their employees from various parts of the country to their new corporate headquarters inside the development.   Other companies such as Raytheon, Children’s Medical Center, and Texas Health Resources have also moved in.

Situated adjacent to the DART rail line, CityLine is easily accessible by those living in Dallas, Plano, Garland, and McKinney.  But if commuting every day is not your style, fret not.  The development will have five onsite luxury apartment communities, many of which have recently opened to residents with others soon accepting lease applications.  With a retail center anchored by Whole Foods, multiple restaurants, and an Aloft hotel also included, there really won’t be much of a reason to leave!  But if you do fancy a visit to Uptown, Victory Park, or Deep Ellum, or want to take to the friendly sky, the DART is available to take you there.

Perhaps you might not want to live so close to work for the sole reason of being the first they call when help is needed.  And in that case just a few miles away you’ll find several other awesome apartment communities, some sitting above dining, some next to arts and entertainment, and some by their lonesome.

Richardson is also home to the University of Texas at Dallas offering graduate and undergraduate degree programs.  UT Dallas makes it possible for working adults to obtain their degree with evening classes available.  Business Administration, Political Science, and Technology are just some of the programs they offer on a sweet campus just west of hwy 75.

If you like art, music, or festivals, Richardson has you covered. Each year the city plays host to Wildflower! a music festival featuring headline bands in country, rock, classic rock, as well as local artists. The Cottonwoods Arts Festival, best described as a Mayfest style festival, is held twice a year in May and October. And in December kids will love Santa’s Village featuring arts and crafts, lights, music, fun, and the big man himself located outside at the Richardson Civic Center.
