An emotional support animal can be a dog, cat, pig, or any common domesticated animal. An apartment community can deny exotic breeds such as Peacocks and Giraffes. With ESA’s there is no pet rent, pet fees, or pet deposits.
In either case, a service dog or emotional support animal does not count towards your apartment community’s maximum pet rules. You will need to sign an addendum stating that you are financially responsible for your animal.
