Upscale Living in Fabulous Frisco, Texas
Frisco, located about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas, is bustling with activity. Only about 65% built out, Frisco has seen quite the building boom over the last five years and there are no indications that it will slow down anytime soon. At last count there were eleven new luxury apartment complexes under construction across the city with more planned. Culturally diverse, Frisco offers activities for everyone.
Frisco City Hall is located in Frisco Square, a mixed use development that includes dining, boutique shops, a Cinemark theatre, hospital, and apartment living. Recently opened at Frisco Square you will find luxury apartments with garage parking as well as a new office building that house the headquarters of software company Gearbox and cool nerdy coffee shop.
Throughout the year Frisco Square hosts several events including their annual 4th of July fireworks, arts festivals, music festivals, and in December the square comes alive with hundreds of thousands of lights strung across the buildings all timed to music.
Directly across the street from Frisco Square sits FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas is a MLS soccer team that is deeply involved with the community. Concerts, tournaments, and fundraisers occur often at the stadium.
On the west side of the Dallas North Tollway you’ll find retail shopping, Main Event, quick service restaurants, and several new and under construction apartment communities. To the south about 4 miles you will run into Stonebriar district. Here you will find Dr. Pepper Stadium which is home to minor league baseball with an outfield lazy river, Ikea, iFly, Dave and Busters, Stonebriar Mall, and too many restaurants to count. Many new apartments have also been developed in Stonebriar due to its convenient location to the tollways and the Legacy West development in Plano.
To the west of Stonebriar sits the new headquarters and training facility of the Dallas Cowboys. Known as the ‘The Star in Frisco’. The training facility is more like a mini Cowboys Stadium, and while there are two outdoor fields, the indoor multi activity center has a few similarities to the real deal. Frisco ISD will use the facilities for training, games, and tournaments. Also included in the $200+ million development are high rise office buildings, a hotel, outdoor retail and dining, and luxury apartments.(Opening Summer 2018)
Frisco Parks and Recreation Center opened an aquatic center along Preston Road that features 6 mat slides, a lazy river, kids area, and activity pool. Younger kids will love Safety Town located next to the main Frisco Fire Station, and older kids will enjoy Pole Position Raceway located near Toyota Stadium.
